Independent Glass manufacture safety glass products for use in bodyside and interior glazing applications (including mirrors).
All product is manufactured under an ISO BS EN 9001/2000 Quality Management System and where applicable under a BS 857 Kite Mark Licence. The company are also LinkUp registered and Railpart Technical Document Approved.
Bodyside Double Glazing Units are available certified to the old, but still in use, BR573: BRB Specification for Double Glazed Window Units for use on Rolling Stock whilst new designs can be tested and certified to the current RSSB Standard GM/RT 2456 Issue 2.
Interior glass complies with the current ATOC Codes and Standards.
The company has a full range of in-house test facilities including the only existing rig specifically designed only to test body side glazing to the RSSB missile impact requirements in the actual operation 'in service' aspect ratio and 'as glazed' orientation.
