The company has over 5,000 employees, 90 depots and offices around the country and owns 60% of the UK's railway maintenance, renewal and electrification machines, some of which can be made available for long term lease or hire to companies around the world.Jarvis Rail is responsible for the planned and responsive maintenance of 6,500km of track and associated signalling, telecomms, level crossings and bridges. It also has long term contracts with Railtrack to renew plain line track and switches and crossings in Scotland, Wales, North, East and Central England.
